Alicia Davis

A great day begins with a few “downward cats” and making a quick gourmet breakfast. My passions in life prepare me for the day-to-day challenges of leading a growing company. It’s a priority for me to bring a healthy balance and attitude to our work and to my life.

Experience

I’ve channeled my degrees & certifications into 22+ years of clinical & legal expertise.

Philanthropy

I’m dedicated to charitable causes that impact community and protect and nurture animals.

Recreation

I love to travel, and I consider myself a “foodie.” The wine & cuisine of a foreign country feeds my soul.

Passion

I recharge best when I’m creating in the kitchen (something spicy) or digging in the dirt.

I’m not afraid. I was born to do this.

Experience

Alicia with BabyIn 1992, Alicia graduated from nursing school in Texas and set about a 15 year career focused in high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, and surgery. In 1997, through collaboration with the University of New Mexico Hospital and a national obstetrical monitoring company, she became the youngest Director of Clinical Services on the corporate team, overseeing the management of at-risk maternal home care patients throughout NM, southern Colorado and El Paso.

In 2002, Alicia became an active member of the local and national Chapters of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). She has always challenged herself in her career to learn more, wear more hats, and be a leader in her field – legal nurse consulting seemed like the next right step. Over the next few years, Alicia continued to work full-time in clinical nursing practice while building ALN Consulting as a professional business. In 2006, after moving to Tennessee, she had the opportunity to join the defense team of a Nashville law firm as a nurse paralegal. Within the first year, and with the help of two of Tennessee’s best defense counsel, Alicia took the opportunity to transition ALN Consulting into a full-time enterprise.

Alicia maintains her licensure as an RN and has been a Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (ABNS) since 2009. Her varied experiences in clinical nursing and nursing management inform her work as Med Law’s CEO every day.

Cooking

Cooking is my end-of-day therapy, and one way I nurture those that I love.

Food!

My life’s journey has been filled with amazing travel experiences and cooking regional fare is how I bring the memories back home. I think back to wandering through the Bouqueria in Barcelona whenever I’m shopping for something special to create in the kitchen.

Travel

If you get an out-of-office reply from me, hopefully there’s a passport involved. #wanderlust
